A doozy of a weekend.

the past 7 days have been crazy town {remember that band?} at our house. packing, unpacking, unpacking some more, getting sick, then getting c sick, sarser coming to town and then my brother coming home after 2 years in a foreign country. yeesh.

so let's start with the move shall we?

i'm convinced that moving is pretty much a fate worse than death. hate. we are never moving again.

here are a couple new house photos, taken at night, with the flash on. good stuff. we still have bare walls, are waiting on our new couch to be delivered and are working with an awesome designer to help our house feel homey. the designer, in my opinion, is pretty much way more important than buying groceries for the next 6 months. i am inept at interior design. i'm excited to show you more final, decorated home photos. but for now, this is what we got. and to us, what we got, is pretty great. we are beyond thrilled to have a home.

no more royal purple. i sort of got used to it after a while and was sad to see it go. sort of.

if anyone would like to donate money to the sprinkler/grass/landscape fund, please, by all means, feel free. we only need about eleventy seven thousand dollars.

welcome. please come in.

we hired our friend clayton, who is an amazing carpenter, to make us a kitchen table. it is really one of my favorite things. it is made of solid walnut on top with a white oak base. we adore this table. and i love that we have something unique in our home that will be a great piece of beautiful furniture that will last for a very long time. i also love knowing that our money ended up in the hands of a local artist who actually made the table.

clayton does amazing work. you can check it out here if you are interested.

and here is a peek at our sad, but soon to be awesome, master bedroom and bathroom.

pictures of c's room to come.

again, we are really just thrilled to have a house. and to not live in a basement. no offense to anyone who lives in a basement. we did it for nearly 3 years and i can absolutely say that it was worth it. except for the spiders. and the mold incident. and the other mold incident. and the flooding incident. and the other flooding incident. and the 5 foot root in our toilet pipes. and also the spiders. and the neighbors dogs that barked all night. and the spiders. but other than that. totally worth it.

Love your house. So glad I got to see it. And I am still very jealous.

Your house is so beautiful! I wouldn't have expected anything less from you, though.
